St. John Golf

St John golf might be a little hard to find due to the fact that St. John does not have any golf courses, but a short ferry ride over to St. Thomas or St. Croix will take you to some of the best golf courses in the USVI.


 

St. Thomas Golf

Mahogany Run: This is the only 18 - hole golf course onSt. Thomas.It is locatedon the north coast of the island. Challenging and naturally lush, the course tests control as opposed to power. The course record is 66 strokes. It's rated at 70.1, total yardage is 6,022, longest hole is 564 yards, and the shortest is 153 yards. Rates for two players range from around $130.00 to $170.00 for 18 holes.

 


 

St. Croix Golf

Buccaneer Hotel Golf Course: Set on the grounds of a former sugar plantation and located just east of Christiansted, the Buccaneer Hotel golf course is and island within and island, offering one of the most extensive roster of activities on St. Croix. The 18 - hole course takes players Virgin Islands Golfingover sloping hills right to the edge of the Caribbean Sea. Golf pros are on duty full-time. Guests and non-guests are welcome to play. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace where views of Christiansted Harbor will make a delightful way to start a round of play.

 

Carambola Golf Course: Lawrence Rockefeller built this Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed course in 1966 and spared no expense. There are many exciting and exhilarating challenges of this course. The course has a 72.7 rating and a 131-slope rating making it worthy of any experienced golfer. Hole one is a dogleg right par four with bunkers and trees placed just in the right places to trap those golfers who aren't careful. The over-water shots include the fourth, fifth, and seventh holes. A bunker fronts the eighth hole. Hole number nine has a challenging dogleg right. The twelfth offers a sloping 407-yard par four. The thirteenth presses you even further with a 477 yard, dogleg right dead into the wind and a green that is narrow and bunkered. Your opportunity for a birdie awaits you at the eighteenth hole.

 

The Reef Club Mini Golf Course: This nine hole mini-course on the northeastern part of St. Croix has a casual personality perfect for some carefree putting. Friday afternoon scrambles are an event. This course also offers a driving range for long drive practice.
