Virgin Islands Cruises

A Caribbean cruise is a very popular vacation choice especially when the ship cruises to the Virgin Islands. It's an affordable way to experience luxury and the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean.  When choosing a cruise, there are a lot of factors that come into play in choosing the right cruise for you.  The cruise ship and destination are pretty important items of choice, but we're sure a Virgin Islands cruise won't disappoint! With the beautiful white sand beaches and sparkling blue water you will fall in love with the beautiful islands in no time. There is non-stop air travel from the U.S. mainland to St. Thomas and St. Croix.

The main cruise ship dock is in St. Thomas in Charlotte Amalie and it also happens to be one of the world's most trafficked cruise ports. Many cruise lines add St Thomas as a port of call in their itineraries.  St. Thomas is one of the most popular cruise destinations because the variety of things to do while visiting the island.  You will find numerous activities to choose from that will include the whole family!  This includes the word famous Magens Bay Beach that has topped many lists of the world's top beaches. One might also spend the afternoon indulging in the duty-free shopping the island has to offer. If you're more interested in getting out of the crowds of Charlotte Amalie try exploring some of the other St. Thomas beaches or take a short ferry ride over to St. John. You will find navigating the island fairly easy and the local transportation can take you anywhere you please.

 

The Virgin Islands also has a cruise ship dock in the town of Frederiksted on the island of St. Croix. There are plenty of fun activities for a day in St. Croix. There are numerous water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving that you can sign up for, but if you're interested in exploring the town and island on your own, feel free!  You will find great restaurantsand shopping nearby in the town of Frederiksted. There are also lots of beaches and plenty of history around the island. Check out Ft. Frederik, a fort built in 1760 that is full of history, or you might want to visit one of the 100+ ruins of sugar cane mills and grand plantation homes that are scattered along the island, whatever you decide to do with your day in St. Croix we're sure you will fall in love with the beautiful island. Whether you cruise to St John, cruise to St Thomas or cruise to St Croix, you will be pleased with your Virgin Island vacation.
