Sunset Jazz in Frederiksted: Sunset Jazz has played host to premier Caribbean and International jazz artists, and can boast the most beautiful “back drop” of any jazz series in the world! Every third Friday of each month, come to the Fort Frederik Beach in Frederiksted from 6pm to 8pm for great music. Mother Nature assists in providing the event with wonderful scenery, beautiful sunset and cooling a Caribbean breeze. Sunset Jazz concerts are free; bring a chair or a blanket. Please no coolers. You can buy food and drinks from the concert concession area. This is a great family event, and concert goers can enjoy the Frederiksted nightlife and restaurants after the show.

Each contestant is judged on Talent, Fashioning of Swim wear and Evening wear, Speech and a Cultural Costume. The winning young lady reigns over festival events and participates in the parade. Held at the Winston Wells Ball Field and begins at 8:00pm

St. John Festival Food & Craft Fair: Food Fair & Coronation. This food & crafts fair is a popular event located at the Franklin Powell Park, starting at 1:00pm. It involves booths selling tasty Caribbean dishes, drinks, candies, pastries and other goodies which are not always available year round. Plants, produce and local arts and crafts are also on sale. Live music during some parts of the fair. Coronation of Princess and Miss St. John takes place during the fair.

St. John Festival Boat Races: Boat Races, In the Cruz Bay harbor there are boat races and other water sports activities. Viewers congregate in Cruz Bay to watch, begins at 3:00pm.

St. John Festival Carnival Village: Festival Village Open, Carnival Village is the heart of Carnival activities. Each year the Cruz Bay parking lot is converted into a Village, complete with booths where food and drinks are sold and enjoyed. Live bands provide music and entertainment on various nights. It is common to find lots of people at the village, begins at 7:00pm.

St. John Festival Cultural Day: Cultural Day, a wonderful event celebrating Emancipation and Virgin Islands culture. July 3rd is Emancipation in the USVI and for this a re-enactment is performed by people in the community. Traditional dancers will perform the VI dance quelbe. Local arts and crafts will be on sale. A museum with items from the old days like the 'goose' (iron that used coal for heat), coal pots (used in the past for cooking) and clothing will be some of the items on display. At dusk a flambo torch parade will proceed through Cruz Bay. Music throughout the afternoon. Held at Franklin Powell Park and begins at 2:00 pm. |

It is an early morning party as thousands of people dance through the streets behind their favorite bands while others stand on the sidelines and enjoying the music. Begins at 4:00 am through Cruz Bay and starts outside the National Park Visitor Center. |

St. John Festival Parade: The parade is one of the biggest events of the St. John Festival. It takes place in Cruz Bay and includes thousands of participants and thousands of viewers that line the parade route. Come see mocko jumbies, carnival royalty, listen to bands play while colorfully costumed troupes dance along. Some troupes include masqueraders wearing from the smallest costumes of bikinis with beads to elaborate, large costumes that stretch the width of the parade route. The parade route starts at the National Park Visitor Center entrance at 11:00 am and runs through Cruz Bay. |

22nd Annual Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament :It's time to fish! It's time to party! It's time to celebrate! The Northside Sportfishing Club's Bastille Day Kingfish Tournament - set for Sunday July 11th at Hull Bay Hideaway - is your chance to catch that 'big one' while enjoying the camaraderie of family and friends. This inshore fishing event offers more ways to win and more cash and luxury gift prizes than any other Virgin Islands-based tournament of its kind. In addition to fishing fun for anglers, there's a live band and beach party in the afternoon along with special shore side activities and games anyone in the community will enjoy. Plus, proceeds from the event benefit charitable community organizations Come one, come all - men, women, boys and girls - anglers of all skill levels are invited to enter, and everyone comes away a winner. Last year the tournament attracted 208 anglers, including 36 junior anglers, aboard 57 boats! Fishing starts at 5:30 a.m. and ends at 12 Noon, sharp, when the beachside party begins at Hull Bay Hideaway, with food, music and fun lasting right up until the time of the Awards Ceremony at 8pm.
