Charlotte Amalie is the Virgin Island’s capital. St. Thomas has the greatest variety of nightlife found on any of the Virgin Islands. One of the most popular attractions in St. Thomas is Coral World. Charlotte Amalie is the heart of the island’s shopping scene. The stores are crammed full of fun merchandise and are located on the waterfront side of town. The stores date back to the 17th and 18th century when they served as warehouses filled with goods awaiting export.
